Walt Disney studio's has found a great deal of success over the last few years in adapting their animated classics to live-action. Now Disney's another live-action "The Little Mermaid" is rumoured to have offered the lead role of Ariel to Zendaya.

After the mahossive success of Alice in wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella, The Jungle book, Beauty and the Beast, Disney has a number of live-action adaptations in the works.

Early next year, Dumbo by Tim Burton and Guy Ritchie's Aladdin will hit theaters. After the huge success of CGI "The Jungle Book" dorectdi Jon Favreau is working on another project "The Lion King". Both Mulan and Maleficent 2 are officially filming.

There were rumours indicating that Disney has offered a titular role to Zendaya, when asked by THS (The Hashtag Show) she declined. The little Mermaid doesn't have a director yet, though Rob Marshall is the reported choice.

Zendaya has all the experience to play the role of Ariel, having worked in 20th century Fox's musical "The Greatest Showman" and also had great career in pop singing. The actress also worked for Disney channel TV series, Shake It Up & K.C. undercover.

In the recent years she joined the big screen and also debuted as Michelle in Spider-Man: Homecoming and is expected to return for the sequel, 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home.

From all her work and experience, Zendaya would be a fantastic choice for her role of Ariel in "The Little Mermaid".
