Inception Ending Finally Explained
After eight years of debate over the ending of Inception, the ending of Inception movie has been explained by one of the costar's of the movie Michael Caine.
Christopher Nolan's pshycological thriller movie "Inception" was a mind wobbling stuff for the audience, especially the ending of the movie.
The key to understand the difference between reality and dream became quite perplexed.
During the end moments DiCaprio's character Dom cobb shown being reunited with his children. Audience were totally perplexed whether it was a dream or reality.
Michael Caine recently attended the London screening of Inception and he himself was "puzzled" by the scripts and went to the director Christopher Nolan for clarification.
After the screening the actor Michael Caine who portrayed Leonardo DiCaprio's father-law in the movie has offered some clarity on the movie's final moments.
In an interview, he admitted: ‘When I got the script of Inception, I was a bit puzzled by it, and I said to him [director Christopher Nolan], “I don’t understand where the dream is”.'
I said, “When is it the dream and when is it reality?” He said, “Well, when you’re in the scene it’s reality.” So get that — if I’m in it, it’s reality. If I’m not in it, it’s a dream.’
So in the ending moments when Dom Cobb reunites with his children his father-in-law (Michael Caine) was there with him in the scene.
The audience were confused about the top spinning on the table. As in the movie people who perform Inceptions use "totem" (object) to distinguish between dream and reality.
As earlier in the movie Domm revealed that in reality his totem (mini top) eventually toppled over.
As in the ending moments the top was spinning on the table and the screen faded to black before audience found out whether he (DiCaprio) was dreaming or it was reality.
As Nolan teased us earlier he said "The point is, objectively, it matters to the audience in absolute terms: even though when I’m watching, it’s fiction, a sort of virtual reality. But the question of whether that’s a dream or whether it’s real is the question I’ve been asked most about any of the films I’ve made. It matters to people because that’s the point about reality. Reality matters."
After eight years of debate now it is finalized that the ending scene in the movie was a reality not a dream.
Though there are many fan theory suggested that the ending scene was a reality but Michael Caine himself has confirmed that it was a reality.
