The first concept art of Marvel studios "Captain Marvel is unveiled. At the post credit scene in Avengers Infinity War we saw Nick Fury using a an old pager to send an SOS signal to someone and the logo of Captain Marvel appears on the screen.

Captain Marvel is going to be the first female led superhero film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

 The official concept of the movie was released by Marvel Studios on twitter. For the role of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel number of actresses tested for the role but at the end Academy Award Winner Brie Larson has been casted for the role in the movie.

Synopsis of the movie:
Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes after the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.
The main villains of the movie are shape-shifting Skrulls, the storyline of the movie is war between Kree and Skrulls. GOTG director James Gunn explained that Skrulls characters rights are co-owned by Fox and Marvel studio.

As according to Kevin Fiege Captain Marvel is the strongest character in the MCU, she even can move planets and she will be having a key role in defeating Thanos.

Yes the characters from GOTG will also be in this movie, Samuel L. Jackson will also reprising his role as Nick Fury with both eyes and Jude Law will be playing a vital role in the movie as Mar-vell another Superhero and a mentor to Captain Marvel.
The battle can be won in Avengers 4 with the help of Captain Marvel.
